Welcome to Marché Restaurant Group, a hospitality company in Eugene, Oregon that originated with the founding of Marché in 1998, and has since grown to include a number of locations and concepts, from fast casual to retail, fine dining and popups. We are proud of our great team of employees, and hope you’ll find working with us to be a fulfilling, inspiring, educational experience. Brief history of MRG:
Marché opened in August of 1998, Marché Museum Café opened in January of 2005, and Marché Provisions opened in October of 2006. Le Bar, an expansion of the bar at Marché, opened in November 2011, in order to welcome guests at Inn at the 5th. Marché also provides room service to the Inn. Provisions was rebranded, expanded and opened up to an enthusiastic audience in September of 2015 as Provisions Market Hall. . Since then, we have opened Provisions South and Magpie Coffeeshop, while weathering a global pandemic. We have been catering all along the way, and are often expanding and contracting with small concepts, popups and mobile operations to respond to our community’s market and opportunities that present themselves. Each of MRG’s businesses serves a slightly different audience, but they all adhere to our core philosophy:

We take our name from the French word for “market” — a word that describes not only our location in Eugene’s bustling 5th Street Public Market, but also our philosophy of cooking: the menu is based on the foods you would find at a farmers market — fresh, seasonal, and regional. We are committed to using only those ingredients that are at their seasonal best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Our culinary technique is French-based — intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented. We strive to represent these values in all that we do: flavorful, simple, beautiful, and nourishing.
Stephanie Pearl Kimmel, the owner and founding chef of MRG, has been a champion for local, seasonal food in this region for more than forty years—and she’s recognized around the country as a pioneer. We’re proud to continue that effort in everything we do, whether it’s a great cup of coffee, a picnic charcuterie platter, a cocktail on a patio, a basket of groceries or a long, lovely dinner.
